Youth Emergency Services (YES) Holiday Outreach

Seldin Company partnered with Youth Emergency Services (YES) this Holiday season to provide meals and "Home Sweet Home" gift baskets! These gifts will help YES equip the apartments in the Transitional Living and Maternity Home Programs. Ashleigh Reeker was able to share a little bit about her time helping with the event.

Youth Emergency Services (YES) Holiday Outreach

“The home office team was elated to give back to Youth Emergency Services (YES) this holiday season. Everyone gets so busy during the holiday season and fourth quarter, in particular, seems to be no exception. Our team did a good job of getting creative and pulling together to support this cause. Kristen McCall donated a large portion of the items for our gift basket. We had additional funds and we were able to ensure the basket had more than enough for the youth that would be utilizing it to transition into housing. Additionally, Charity Watts and I met up to cook up some delicious baked ziti casseroles to feed almost 70! The YES team was so encouraged by the numerous deliveries of gift baskets and meals from the Seldin team. It felt great to be able to give back in a small way this year.”

Youth Emergency Service’s mission is “To serve homeless and at-risk youth by providing critically-needed resources which empower them to become self-sufficient. After meeting their immediate needs for food, shelter, clothing and safety, we create a support system which helps them flourish.” Their vision is to “envision a community which understands and embraces its youth, creating an environment where youth homelessness no longer exists.” To learn more about how YES is helping youth in the Omaha-metro area, check them out here: http://www.yesomaha.org/
